Back in February, Kris and I attended an evening with Samantha Cameron in support of the charity Scope. Kris was invited in recognition of his work with several of Scope’s clients, who attend his fitness classes – I went along as his plus-one. Elliot Evans (one of Kris’s clients also invited by Scope) and his mother travelled to London and met us that afternoon in order to come to the event with us.
The event was an amazing and inspiring evening. We had many opportunities to network with others who work for and with Scope across various fields. Along with scope trustees, volunteers, and subjects of their ‘stories’ were several celebrities including R J Mitty, Adam Hills, and Alex Brooker, whom we got the opportunity to talk to. I was also able to give Samantha Cameron a copy of Synthesis:Weave – I thought it would be an appropriate gift, given the event was in support of a disability charity and one of the book’s protagonists is disabled.
